My Background and Expertise

Grinde Wordcraft is a sole proprietorship where I provide professional translation services. With a diverse educational background and many years of work experience in technical environments, I deliver precise and reliable translations – particularly within technical and professional texts.

My upper secondary education includes health and social care studies, technical construction studies, and technical drafting. In addition, I have continued my education through online studies, completing both the Payroll and Personnel School and the Accounting School. This combination has given me a broad understanding of technical, administrative, and professional texts.

In November 2023, I also completed the course "How to become a Freelance Translator" at The Translator Academy. Following this, I established my first sole proprietorship and began offering translation services internationally. The business was initially run as a part-time activity alongside my full-time employment.

From June 2007 to December 2024, I worked as a technical drafter in the oil and gas industry. In January 2025, I moved on to a position as a CAD Engineer, also within the oil and gas sector. As a result, I chose to close my previous sole proprietorship, Frilansoversetter Grinde, in order to focus fully on my new role as a CAD Engineer. With a background in technical work, I bring a strong command of technical terminology, precision, and attention to detail — qualities that are essential for accurate and reliable translations

Although I focused on full-time employment for a period, I quickly realized that translation was something I truly enjoyed.

Therefore, in February 2026, I established a new sole proprietorship, Grinde Wordcraft, where I once again offer translation services internationally.
